BASKETBALL Victoria’s Bushfire Relief Auction has proven an incredible success, with the auction raising $15,879 for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
Closing last week with a flurry of bids, the auction finished with all items receiving significant interest from the community, as well as an extraordinarily generous $10,000 anonymous donation to the Appeal through our 32Auctions platform.
Basketball Victoria CEO Nick Honey said the kindness and generosity of the basketball community stands out again and again as Victorians contribute to this important cause.
“The kindness of our community has been incredible – with the Bushfire Relief Auction raising over $15,000,” Honey said. “Thank you to everyone who has donated to the appeal – it is impressive to see our community band together to support our own in times of need.
“If you haven’t donated to the Bushfire Relief efforts, please dig deep to support these Victorian communities greatly affected by the bushfires.”
All donations from the auction as well as Basketball Victoria’s previously announced $10,000 donation will go directly to the fundraising efforts for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
The Basketball Victoria Bushfire Relief Auction featured a number of pieces of Victorian star player memorabilia, including merchandise from Ben Simmons, Liz Cambage, Matthew Dellavedova, Jenna O’Hea, Andrew Bogut and Ezi Magbegor.
